Radiation Safety Officer
Reports To: Training & Development Manager

Location: Knoxville TN Metro Area


SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Design, develop, execute, and maintain the Company Radiation Safety (CRS) program. Provide services to customers to develop and implement local CRS programs. Conduct Radiation Safety Training for operators, Field Service Engineers, and customers. Resolve relevant radiation safety issues for manufacturing, sales, and service departments.


SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Interface with local, state and federal agencies concerning all aspects of Radiation Safety, including Registrations, Reporting, Records, Compliance and Inspections
Interface with manufacturing in the US, Canada, France, and Germany concerning compliance issues as related to procedures, practices and design.
Interface with employees concerning radiation related questions and concerns, including maintaining a written CRS Program.
Provide Basic Radiation Safety training to all employees.
Provide Formal Radiation Safety training to Sales & Service personnel.
Maintain Personnel Monitoring program for Radiation exposure.
Interface with customers concerning Radiation related questions and issues, including providing Radiation Safety training and services.
Comply with and ensure department compliance with Company health, safety and environmental policies.
Comply with all applicable U.S. export control and security regulations.
